I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA and went to college at the University of California, Davis. I started out my college career studying the sciences, but it failed to intrigue me. I ended up majoring in Communications, which made me realize the value of commitment, hard work, and networking. I would eventually take these skills into the workforce.
After college, I began my career in sales at a small private financial management company in the Bay Area. I spent 3 years spinning my wheels, making a lot of money -- and not enjoying it one bit. What was missing? The feeling like I was actually making a difference. Once I realized that, I transitioned my career path to recruiting, and have not looked back. Recruiting combines networking, patience, a proactive mind, and a love of "helping people".
One of the best feelings in the world is receiving an email from a candidate saying, "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for helping me find the job of my dreams. It was such a pleasure working with you!" I live for moments like that.
